Overview

I've been developing websites for over 5 years now and in that time I have had experience with a number of hosting providers. I still can't say I've found a favorite. Web hosts come in all variety of shapes and prices, as do my projects. It still is a struggle to find the right host for a particular project.

Recently, with some larger project I've helped launch, I've tried to be more systematic and thorough in vetting prospective hosts. I've set up a webhostingtalk.com account∞ and documented some of my struggles and insights in my blog∞. This part of the wiki, itself, is an extension of a record I began keeping on another wiki∞.
